Befallen Fate is an action RPG project
by Flawestruck that
may or may never get finished. A passion project, if you
will. She is my best friend and girlfriend, and I thought
it'd be fun to compose some music for her ideas so far.
It's being worked on in Unity. I figure worst case, if the
game is never completed, there'll be a soundtrack for it.
In the future, she may share WIP stuff publicly... so I won't
look like someone creating fake people as an excuse to make
VGM for a game that doesn't exist...
Anyways, thanks for having a look or a listen or whathaveyou.
I hope to update this page with new and updated tracks as
time goes on. It's an RPG after all, it needs a comical
amount of music.
A theme for the indoor castle town of
House Glace, as named by its nearly-dead royal line. It
exists in a bitterly, deathly cold region and its inhabitants
are effectively stuck there without the assistance of magic,
which isn't a commonality.
The party is only able to go there through their abilities,
visitors are incredibly rare.
I am unsure if there will be day/night variants at this point
in time.
Almost unfittingly Bully-esque, but it
ended up working out. Currently labeled "Electric Town", it
will likely be the night theme to this town that will
eventually have a name.
Said town is powered by magic slaves underground, and has a
bustling nightlife culture under its dark origins. Yes,
casinos.
Another very old composition that got
finished for the most part a few years back... with the
intent of being on a "new" Amber of the Land album that never
manifested.
I've reworked it as a battle theme for Taiga, the third
playable character in the game's campaign.
A daytime theme for Eauvoleur, the
first town in the game. The town name simply means "water
thief" because it exists in a desert region with little
water- and what little water there is, they take for
themselves.
It has a residential district that is notably...
labyrinthine. It's a mostly peaceful town.
Boss battle music for a major story
event between party members. A weird mix of my own usual
style with that weird neoclassical bent certain JRPG
composers tend to lean toward.
This is a very old composition that
recently got finished with the intent of being the closer to
an "Amber of the Land" re-release (as a bonus track).
However, my inner muse told me it should be the battle theme
for Keahi when she takes over player character duties midway
through the story. Flawestruck agrees.
